Trauma shears — the heavy-duty angled scissors carried by every medic, corpsman, paramedic, and combat lifesaver — are one of the most critical tools in emergency medical care. In combat, the ability to rapidly cut away clothing and equipment to access a wound is often the difference between life and death. Standard scissors won't cut through body armor webbing, boots, or multiple layers of combat clothing — trauma shears will.
