Backstory / History

Dr. Venom was one of Cobra's earliest scientific masterminds, responsible for engineering Cobra's amphibious "Eels" frogmen and later commanding the Phoenix Guard aboard the flying fortress Despera. Disfigured in a lab accident and left with a steel plate covering half his face, Dr. Venom embodies the mad-scientist archetype of early Cobra leadership — brilliant, ruthless, and unwaveringly loyal to Cobra Commander's cause. A favorite among collectors building out the original Marvel Comics-era Cobra command structure.
