Backstory / History

Devil Dog — the legendary nickname of the United States Marine Corps, earned in the blood and mud of Belleau Wood in 1918 when German soldiers reportedly called the ferocious Marines "Teufelshunde," or Devil Dogs. The name stuck, becoming a badge of honor worn by every Marine who followed. The Devil Dog head sculpt series pays tribute to the hard faces of the Corps — the men who carry that legacy forward in every conflict America has fought since. Devil Dog Head 1 is the first in a series of USMC-inspired generic head sculpts designed for building out Marine fire teams, platoons, and dioramas across any era from World War II to the modern day.
