Backstory / History
Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Hathcock II is widely regarded as the greatest sniper in U.S. military history — a soft-spoken Marine from Arkansas who compiled 93 confirmed kills in Vietnam, with an unofficial total estimated far higher. Known by the enemy as "Long Trường Lông" (White Feather) for the distinctive feather he wore in his bush hat, Hathcock was so feared that the North Vietnamese Army placed a bounty of $30,000 on his head. His legendary crawl — spending three days covering 1,500 yards to eliminate an enemy general — remains one of the most remarkable acts of individual soldiering in recorded history. Collectors and military history enthusiasts treasure this sculpt as a tribute to a true American hero and the patron saint of long-range precision shooting.
