Backstory / History

The double retention 40mm pouch carries two rounds in individual retention cells — doubling the grenadier's immediately accessible ammunition without significantly increasing the pouch's footprint on the kit. For grenadiers going into sustained engagements or complex environments where multiple round types need to be immediately accessible — HE, smoke, illumination, or less-lethal — the double pouch provides the flexibility to carry the right round for the situation without digging through a bag.
